About Edutunes'
secure payment system:
Edutunes
utilizes CCNow's superior security features to ensure
that your purchases are protected by the highest
standard of encryption technology available on the
Internet.
Note:
CCNow makes use of a 128 bit encryption key
issued by VeriSign, Inc.
Public/private key cryptography allows
secure "conversations" between your browser and
CCNow's secure server. When you purchase a product
through CCNow's secure server, CCNow's public key is
automatically transferred to your browser. Your browser then
uses this key to encrypt information transferred back to CCNow.
This information can only be decrypted using the private key
installed on the CCNow secure server.
When a secure transaction is taking
place, users with Netscape Navigator 4.0 or later will see an
image of a locked padlock ( )
in the lower left hand corner of their browser window. Earlier
versions of Netscape Navigator will display a yellow key in a
blue box ( )
in this corner along with a blue line across the top of the
browser window. Microsoft's Internet Explorer indicates a
secure connection with a locked padlock in the lower right
hand corner of the browser window.
To view security information for a web
page, Netscape Navigator users can click on the key or lock
displayed in the corner of the browser window. Microsoft
Internet Explorer users can select "Properties" from
the "File" menu and select the "Security"
tab. When viewing security information, be sure that the key
belongs to the organization and URL you are expecting and is
current and valid.
