Teaching Tips:

Challenge children to show how many ways they can make a penny, a nickel, a dime, a quarter, and a dollar.
 
Use play money as an incentive in your classroom. At the end of each week, allow children to buy various inexpensive items. (Often, children are willing to bring old toys from home.)
