      In 2 minutes, your children practice essential skip-counting sequences in this song. Don’t wait until they’re ready for each sequence; using a song allows everyone to be exposed to this essential information in a non-threatening way!
 
      You can do several things as you sing this song:
            —Point to the words as you sing.
            —Point to the hundreds chart to find patterns (see PDF version).
            —Tell children to put up 1 finger as they say each number.

When you put up one finger each time you count by 10’s, you learn multiplication. For instance, on 30, you would have 3 fingers up. 10x3=30.
 
Use your reproducible hundreds chart to create a book. The first page can be white. On the second page, color every other number yellow. On the third page, color every 5th number yellow. On the fourth page, color every 10th number yellow.
